2025 Halloweentown Scarecrow Contest Registration Opens

Calling all creatives, families, classrooms, and Halloween enthusiasts! The 2025 Pumpkin Patch Halloweentown Scarecrow Trail Contest is officially open for registration, and we want you to be part of the frightfully fun tradition.

Whether you’re a seasoned DIY expert or just love a good seasonal craft, this contest welcomes all skill levels. Participants are invited to design and build their very own scarecrow to be displayed at the City of Brownsville’s annual Pumpkin Patch, which draws thousands of visitors every year.

Your scarecrow could be the star of the show with endless photo ops, social media fame, and community pride. Plus, it’s a free and fun way to get involved in one of the city’s most beloved fall events.

There are also exciting prizes up for grabs, including the People’s Choice Award voted by the public, and the Judge’s Favorite selected during the Park After Dark event.

Registration is completely free, but space is limited — so don’t wait.

The deadline to register and reserve your spot is October 20, 2025.
