Texas Southmost College Invites Community to Celebrate the Holidays at 2025 Tree Lighting Event

Texas Southmost College will hold its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the college’s Oliveira Student Center Building parking lot at 6 p.m.

The beloved annual event invites the public to join in as the college symbolically rings in the holiday season with a countdown leading into the grand lighting of the festively adorned Christmas tree. Celebrating themes of togetherness and holiday cheer, the ceremony sets the stage for an evening filled with entertainment for the entire community to enjoy.

In addition to remarks from TSC administration, the event is scheduled to feature several holiday-themed dance numbers and musical performances, including a special holiday dance presentation by TSC’s own Little Scorpions. Attendees will also have the chance to enjoy festive activities such as Christmas crafts, photos with Santa, and other family-friendly surprises organized by TSC Student Life.

In keeping with the holiday spirit, food and refreshments will be available for all in attendance to enjoy. The event is free and open to the public, welcoming community members of all ages to come together, celebrate the start of the holiday season, and share in an evening of joy with family and friends at Texas Southmost College.

“On behalf of Student Life, we are excited to see our TSC community and families join us for a fun night of Christmas crafts, food, performances, and pictures with Santa,” said Belinda Sauceda, Student Development Coordinator for TSC’s Office of Student Life.
