Brownsville Fire Department and Proyecto Juan Diego to host “Run to the Rescue” 5K and family walk

The Brownsville Fire Department, in partnership with Proyecto Juan Diego, is inviting the community to lace up their running shoes and take part in the upcoming Run to the Rescue 5K & 1-Mile Run/Walk on Saturday, May 30.

The event will take place at the Brownsville Events Center, located at 1 Event Drive, and aims to bring the community together for a morning focused on health, fitness, and community support.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to join the event, whether running the 5K course or participating in the family-friendly 1-mile run/walk. Organizers say the event is designed to promote wellness while supporting community engagement and outreach efforts.

Registration for the event is $30 per person.

Community members are encouraged to register early and come out to support the Brownsville Fire Department and Proyecto Juan Diego while enjoying a fun and active event with family and friends.
