BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The City of Brownsville has launched a public information website for Project Quantum, a regional water-security initiative intended to help residents follow developments and find answers about the community’s long-term water future.
The website, brownsvilletxwatersecurity.com, includes information about the project and frequently asked questions, according to the City.
City officials said the agreements connected to the project do not allocate additional water to SpaceX and do not give the company ownership of water capacity or the regional water infrastructure. The City said the effort is focused on long-term water planning for Brownsville and the surrounding region.
