The City of Brownsville successfully hosted the One City Information Fair on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Brownsville Event Center, drawing participation from residents across the community. The event, held from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, was designed to foster transparency, enhance public awareness of municipal services, and strengthen the relationship between residents and local government.
Brownsville Mayor John Cowen Jr. and City Manager Helen Ramirez, ICMA-CM, AICP, formally welcomed residents to the One City Information Fair.

City staff provided attendees with updates on current services and projects, answered questions, and shared details about how residents can access resources and participate in ongoing initiatives. The fair also featured family-friendly elements, ensuring accessibility and relevance for all age groups.
The event is a key component of the City’s broader initiative to increase civic involvement, promote awareness of available programs, and encourage proactive community participation.
The City of Brownsville extends its gratitude to all participants, city staff, and community members who contributed to the success of the event.
