Special to BTXToday – The Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) invites small business owners, contractors, and residents to a free, in-person information session focused on the City of Brownsville’s Accela Citizen Portal system. The event will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the eBridge Center for Business & Commercialization at 1304 E. Adams Street.
This hands-on session will cover essential skills for using the Accela system, including creating a profile, navigating the portal, applying for the correct permits, and retrieving past permits. Attendees will gain valuable insights into simplifying the permitting process and avoiding common mistakes.
The training, tailored specifically for small business owners, contractors, and residents planning projects in Brownsville, aims to empower users to manage their permitting needs confidently through the Accela system.
