BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Brownsville ISD is inviting schools, departments, community partners and local businesses to participate in its 2026 Thanksgiving canned food drive.
The collection runs from Oct. 26 through Nov. 16. Donations will support the BISD Youth Connection Project, Friendship of Women, Good Neighbor Settlement House, Ozanam Center Inc. and Tip of Texas Family Outreach.
Donations may be delivered to the BISD Administration Building, 1900 E. Price Road, by Nov. 16. Schools and departments may also establish their own collection sites.
The district is encouraging participating schools and departments to create sculptures using the donated cans as part of the drive.
