The Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department invites residents and visitors to slow down, relax, and reconnect with nature during Lunar Yoga at the Dock, a free monthly wellness experience held on the last Saturday of each month.
Classes begin at 7:30 p.m. at The Dock at Dean Porter Park, located at 501 E. Ringgold Street, offering participants a peaceful waterfront setting under the evening sky.
Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines gentle movement, stretching, breathing techniques, and mindfulness. Regular yoga practice can help reduce stress, improve flexibility and balance, increase strength, and promote overall mental and physical well-being. Lunar Yoga focuses on calming, restorative movements designed to help participants unwind and reset at the end of the month.
The free classes are open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, water, and comfortable clothing.
Upcoming Lunar Yoga at the Dock sessions will be held on February 28, March 21, and April 25.
Brownsville Parks and Recreation continues to offer programs that promote health, wellness, and quality of life while encouraging the community to enjoy the City’s outdoor spaces.
