Makers, inventors and innovators from across the region are invited to showcase their work during the inaugural Brownsville Maker Faire, part of Space Fest 2026.
The Maker Faire will take place Sept. 24-26 at the George Ramirez Performing Arts Academy. Students, educators, schools, clubs, nonprofit organizations, technology teams and independent creators may present projects to the community.
Organizers are seeking STEM-focused projects involving space and aerospace, robotics, coding, engineering, electronics, environmental science, 3D printing and other hands-on fields. Projects may include original inventions, working prototypes, demonstrations, experiments or educational activities.
Interactive exhibits are encouraged, including displays that allow visitors to see a project in action, test technology, participate in an experiment or learn a new skill.
Maker Faire is a family-focused celebration of invention and hands-on learning. Brownsville’s event is part of the third annual Space Fest, a three-day celebration of space, science and technology.
