Construction Filing Points to Proposed $11 Million Brownsville Warehouse

BROWNSVILLE, Texas — A state construction filing identifies plans for an approximately $11 million industrial warehouse on city-owned property near Billy Mitchell Boulevard, though the proposed tenant and final project details have not been announced.

The filing describes a 140,000-square-foot warehouse at 1400 Billy Mitchell Blvd. It lists a tentative construction start date of Dec. 1, 2026, and a projected completion date of Dec. 31, 2027.

Construction filings can change before work begins and do not by themselves establish that a project has received every required local approval. BTX Today has not independently confirmed the warehouse user, contractor or final development schedule.

The proposed location sits in an area that has drawn industrial development because of its proximity to Brownsville’s transportation network, the Port of Brownsville and international trade corridors. City permitting records and future public filings are expected to provide additional details as the project advances.
