A beloved Brownsville favorite has found a new home inside one of the city’s cultural landmarks. Crepe Town, owned by local entrepreneur Melissa de la Garza, is now serving its signature sweet and savory crepes from a new location inside the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art. It brings scratch-made breakfast and lunch to the heart of the city’s arts scene.

The full-service restaurant builds on Crepe Town’s roots at the Brownsville Farmer’s Market, where de la Garza introduced her crepes in 2016 and quickly became a community favorite. “Everything we serve here is made in-house, nothing is processed; all of our recipes are very homemade,” de la Garza said.

Crepe Town’s menu leans into fresh, seasonal ingredients and healthy options, with many dishes prepared from scratch each day. “We get all our vegetables from local suppliers, as well as some different ingredients to bring comfort and variety to our dishes,” de la Garza said.

Among the most popular picks are poblano chilaquiles, the poblano crepe, and an array of seasonal desserts for a sweet treat, savory bite, or a leisurely lunch surrounded by art. “I invite you to come try our seasonal dishes and desserts, because they really are very good,” de la Garza said.

Just steps from where it all began at the market, Crepe Town’s new setting blends culinary creativity with the museum’s inspiring backdrop, offering residents and visitors another reason to visit Brownsville’s cultural corridor.
