The City of Brownsville invites residents to participate in the next engagement phase of the Parks, Health & Recreation Master Plan. Building on feedback from the first round of public input, City staff and consultants have developed recommendations to guide the future of Brownsville’s parks, programs, and community spaces.

The first public meeting will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 6:00–7:30 PM at Oliveira Park at 104 El Paso Road.  Three more will follow in the upcoming weeks.

Residents can review the draft recommendations at the meetings, ask questions, and share additional feedback. City officials emphasized that community input is essential to the planning process.

Once finalized, the Parks, Health & Recreation Master Plan will serve as a recreational program and facility roadmap, helping set investment priorities for the years ahead. These meetings allow the community to shape the plan before final recommendations are presented.

All community members are encouraged to attend and lend their voice to ensure Brownsville’s parks and recreation system reflects a shared vision for a healthy, active, and connected city.
