The City of Brownsville Department of Engineering and Public Works is advising motorists of a temporary road closure scheduled for Monday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 434 McDavitt Boulevard.
The closure is necessary to allow crews to safely remove a tree in the area. For the safety of motorists and workers, the roadway will be temporarily closed while the work is underway.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured through Vila Verde Drive.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, follow posted detour signs and use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays in the area.
The City of Brownsville appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while this work is completed and encourages drivers to exercise caution when traveling near the work zone.
