BMetro is making changes to improve public transportation access for residents. To better serve Route 30, BMetro is transitioning into a new Door-to-Door Shared Ride Service, designed to provide greater flexibility and convenience for riders.

To help the community better understand how the new system will work, BMetro is hosting a Public Forum on:

Thursday, September 11, 2025

 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

 Cameron County Browne WIC Clinic

9901 California Road, Brownsville, TX 78521

At the forum, residents will have the opportunity to learn about the transition, ask questions, and receive step-by-step guidance on how to use the new service. BMetro officials say community input will play a vital role in shaping the service to meet rider needs.

The shift to a shared ride model is part of BMetro’s commitment to modernizing transportation, improving accessibility, and ensuring smoother connections for the community.

All residents are encouraged to attend, participate in the discussion, and help shape the future of Brownsville’s transit system.
