RIO GRANDE VALLEY, Texas — The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced Monday that a limited number of single-game tailgating spaces are available in the H-E-B Tailgate Zone on the east side of Robert and Janet Vackar Stadium.
Fans interested in purchasing a space may contact Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales and Operations Nick Swanson at 956-665-4205 or tickets@utrgv.edu.
Packages include a 6-foot table and five folding chairs. Tent packages cost $330 for a 10-by-10-foot space, $450 for a 10-by-20-foot space and $790 for a 20-by-20-foot space.
Existing pavilions are also available. Standard pavilions cost $250, pavilions with water and electricity cost $330, and larger pavilions cost $495.
Fans may purchase additional equipment and entertainment packages for the north and south tailgate lots through QualityTents, UTRGV Athletics’ exclusive tenting provider. Available add-ons include tables, chairs, coolers, generators, grills, televisions with satellite service and misting fans.
Tailgating begins seven hours before kickoff. Game tickets are not required to enter the tailgating areas. Policies and additional information are available at RallyTheValley.com, while packages for the north and south lots are available at UTRGVFootballTailgates.com.
