The applicant behind a proposed data center at 7480 Padre Island Highway has withdrawn its specific-use permit request from the Brownsville Planning and Zoning Commission agenda.
The request, listed under Ordinance No. 235-2026-017-S, involved property in the LR Cowen Subdivision Replat No. 2 and the Padre Play Subdivision. The updated agenda identifies the item as canceled and withdrawn.
As a result, the public hearing will not be held, and the permit request will not be presented, discussed, considered or acted upon during the Aug. 6 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting remains scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 6, at 5:30 p.m. in the Commission Chambers on the second floor of Brownsville City Hall, 1001 E. Elizabeth St.
