BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The City of Brownsville is seeking a qualified consulting firm to help prepare a new comprehensive plan that will guide community growth and public investment over the next 20 years.
The planning process is expected to examine land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure, economic development, public facilities, parks and other priorities that influence how Brownsville develops. Public participation will be a central part of the work, with residents and community partners invited to help shape long-range goals.
The selected firm will work with city staff and local stakeholders to evaluate current conditions, identify future needs and produce strategies that can be used by elected officials and departments when making policy and capital-improvement decisions.
City officials said the updated plan will provide a coordinated framework for managing population growth while preserving quality of life and supporting economic opportunity across Brownsville.
