BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The Brownsville Animal Regulation and Care Center introduced Siren, a small puppy, as its October Pet of the Month during a City Commission meeting.
The monthly spotlight is intended to connect shelter animals with prospective adopters while encouraging responsible pet ownership in the community.
According to the City, animals available for adoption are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped and treated for fleas and ticks before they join new families.
Residents considering adoption are encouraged to visit the shelter to meet dogs and cats that are available for placement.
