Brownsville Farmers’ Market Moves to Cannery Public Market

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The Brownsville Farmers’ Market has moved into the Cannery Public Market, giving the longtime community event a permanent indoor home with outdoor space for vendors, activities and gatherings.

The market is operated with the Brownsville Wellness Coalition and continues to connect residents with locally sourced food while supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs.

City officials said the Cannery Public Market is also expected to host health and wellness programs, educational activities and special events during the week. A commercial kitchen at the facility is planned to begin operations in January 2027, creating space for small businesses to prepare and package products.

The Brownsville Farmers’ Market is scheduled to operate each Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Cannery Public Market across from Linear Park.
