Special to BTXToday – History was made in Brownsville on Friday as the nation’s first 3D-printed Starbucks officially opened at 2941 Boca Chica Boulevard. The new location features drive-thru and pickup services, offering customers a modern and convenient coffee experience.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated the milestone, drawing Starbucks employees, local leaders, and community members eager to witness the unveiling of the one-of-a-kind store. A Starbucks representative said that built with cutting-edge 3D concrete printing technology, the 1,400 sq. ft. structure is the first of its kind for the global coffee chain.

“There’s no other Starbucks or building like this—it’s definitely one of a kind,” said store manager Ricky Arreola. “There are a lot of eyes looking at us.”

This location is now the fourth Starbucks in Brownsville, joining others located on Ruben Torres Boulevard, Morrison Road, and the corner of Expressway 77/83 and Minnesota Road.

The 3D-printed Starbucks will operate Monday through Friday from 4:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., and from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
