Innovation, creativity and teamwork will take center stage when Visit Brownsville hosts the FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Competition on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at The Mitte Arts & Cultural Center.
The STEM-focused event will bring student robotics teams from across the region together to showcase their engineering, programming and problem-solving skills in head-to-head robot competitions.
Participants will demonstrate months of work as they design, build and program robots capable of completing challenging game tasks. Educators, coaches and school administrators are encouraged to bring students to experience the competition and explore future pathways in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Visitors can expect live matches, innovative robot designs and an opportunity to see the next generation of engineers and programmers in action.
