BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The City of Brownsville has opened two new playgrounds along the Paseo Trail near the Brownsville Events Center, expanding recreation options for families who use the trail and surrounding public spaces.
The play areas include equipment designed for children of different ages and abilities. City officials said the project supports Brownsville’s continuing effort to create safe, accessible places where residents can exercise, play and spend time outdoors.
The playgrounds are positioned near an established section of the Paseo Trail, allowing families to combine walking or cycling with a stop at the new facilities. The location also places the equipment close to the Events Center and other community amenities.
The city encouraged residents to visit the new playgrounds and use the surrounding trail system while following posted safety guidance.
