The City of Brownsville Department of Health, Wellness, and Animal Services is inviting local families to make health and wellness a summer adventure with the launch of the 2026 BTX Kids Dash Into Wellness Challenge, a free program designed for children ages 5 to 13. The summer-long initiative encourages young participants to stay active, explore their community, learn healthy habits, and earn rewards through a fun passport-based challenge. Participants can begin their wellness journey by picking up a Wellness Explorer Passport at the Department of Health, Wellness, and Animal Services office, located at 1034 E. Levee Street, 2nd Floor.
Throughout the summer, children can attend designated community events featured on the program calendar and earn a unique stamp for each activity they complete. As participants collect stamps, they move closer to exciting rewards. At the end of the summer, completed passports can be submitted for entry into a grand prize raffle, giving children an opportunity to win special prizes while celebrating their commitment to wellness. How the Challenge Works Pick Up a Passport: Visit the Department of Health, Wellness, and Animal Services at 1034 E. Levee Street, 2nd Floor.
