The City of Brownsville’s Engineering and Public Works Department has begun roadway improvements along Calle Rio de Janeiro as part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing local infrastructure and street safety.
Crews are currently in the milling phase of the project, which is the first step in resurfacing the roadway and creating a smoother, safer driving experience for residents and visitors.
During construction, Calle Rio de Janeiro will be closed to through traffic to ensure the safety of both crews and motorists. Local access will be maintained where possible.
City officials thank the community for its patience and cooperation as Brownsville continues investing in better roadways across the city.
