City of Brownsville & Cameron County to Host Passport & Voter Registration Fair

The City of Brownsville’s Office of the City Secretary, in partnership with the Cameron County District Clerk’s Office and Cameron County Elections Department, will host a “Passport, Birth Certificate, and Voter Registration Fair” on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at City Plaza.

The event will be held from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at City Plaza Building, 1034 E. Levee Street, 1st Floor, Brownsville, Texas.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Cameron County, County District Clerk Laura Perez-Reyes, and Elections Administrator, Remi Garza, CERA, to host this Passport, Birth Certificate, and Voter Registration Fair. This event provides our community with a convenient way to access essential services all in one place. Whether you need a passport, a birth certificate, or want to register or update your voter registration, we are here to assist you,” said Mayra Rios, Brownsville City Secretary.

This convenient event offers residents the opportunity to apply for passports, obtain certified birth certificates, and register to vote ahead of the May 3rd Election—all in a single location!

Services Available:

•         Passport Applications & Renewals – Get assistance with new passport applications and renewals.

•         Certified Birth Certificates – Need a birth certificate for your passport application? The City of Brownsville will provide birth record services for those born within the city limits of Brownsville.

•         Voter Registration & Updates – The Cameron County Elections Department will be holding a Voter Registration Drive, making it easy for residents to register or update their voter information.

This event provides a great opportunity for community members to conveniently request and process essential documents in one location.
