The City of Brownsville is making it easier for residents, contractors, and small business owners to navigate the permitting process. On Friday, September 12, 2025, the City will host “Permitting Made Simple”, a free information session and hands-on training designed to help the community better understand and use the City’s permitting tools.

The event will provide step-by-step guidance on:
- Using the new G-Wiz Permitting Wizard
- Creating and managing an Accela profile
- Navigating the Citizen Portal
- Applying for the correct permits for your project
- Accessing property records and past permits
- Scheduling inspections with ease
