Special to BTX Sentinel.com – The City of Brownsville is hosting its CycloBia Spring Edition, set to transform Palm Boulevard into a vibrant and festive car-free zone on Saturday, March 16, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event starts at 1400 Palm Boulevard.
Palm Boulevard will be closed to vehicle traffic for three hours, allowing community members to walk, jog, cycle, or skateboard through two miles of open streets. The event kicks off at the Belden Trail. It extends to the Texas Southmost College ITEC Campus, providing ample space for participants to engage in various healthy and enjoyable outdoor activities.
CycloBia Brownsville is an event hosted by the City’s Multimodal Transportation and BMetro Department. It promotes healthy living and community engagement in a festive atmosphere by creating temporary car-free streets. Each edition aims to connect people, neighborhoods, and businesses while promoting the sustainable cultural shift toward more active forms of transportation.
