The City of Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department is putting the finishing touches on Dean Porter Park as the countdown begins for the grand opening of Holiday Village 2025, scheduled for Monday, November 24.
Parks and Recreation team members have been working hard behind the scenes — refreshing pavilions, replacing bulbs on light posts, and preparing the grounds to welcome families and visitors from across the region.
This year’s Holiday Village will feature dozens of whimsical cottages, each uniquely decorated and themed for the season. From Santa’s workshop to holiday sweet shops, the village will once again bring a magical experience to the heart of Brownsville.
The official lighting ceremony will take place at 7:00 PM on opening night, illuminating the park and kicking off a season full of cheer, photo ops, and family fun.
Holiday Village is free and open to the public throughout the holiday season. Make plans to visit and enjoy one of Brownsville’s most beloved traditions!
