BROWNSVILLE, Texas – HTeaO has broken ground on its first Rio Grande Valley location, bringing the Texas-based beverage franchise to Brownsville.
The 1,900-square-foot shop is under construction at 205 Rocky Road and is expected to open in early 2027. A groundbreaking ceremony was held July 22, according to the company.
Local franchise partners Omar Ortega and Anna Marroquin, operating through AMO Tea Enterprises 1 LLC, will own and operate the location. The project represents the brand’s first store in South Texas and expands its presence into the Rio Grande Valley.
Plans call for a single-lane drive-thru and a menu with more than 20 varieties of sweetened and unsweetened fresh-brewed tea, along with specialty beverages, snacks and bagged ice.
The company said additional information, including an opening date and grand-opening plans, will be released as construction progresses. The early 2027 target remains subject to the construction schedule.
