The Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the Junior League of Brownsville, is inviting the community to come together for Love Your Park BTX, a special celebration at Edelstein Park.
The event will take place on Saturday, February 7, from 10 AM to 12 PM at 1155 E. Polk St. Organizers say the gathering is designed to celebrate recent improvements to the park while encouraging community pride and involvement.
A highlight of the event will be the unveiling of a new mural, along with tours showcasing recent park upgrades. In a unique, hands-on experience, attendees will be invited to add their handprint to the mural site, allowing community members to leave a lasting mark and become part of the park’s legacy.
The family-friendly event will also feature free activities, snacks, and refreshments for guests of all ages.
City officials encourage residents, families, and neighbors to attend, enjoy the improvements, and help celebrate the continued investment in Brownsville’s parks and public spaces. Community members are also encouraged to spread the word and invite others to take part in the celebration.
