Brownsville Public Library to Host Free Sea Turtle Program for Families

Families looking for a fun and educational summer activity can learn all about one of the Gulf Coast’s most fascinating marine animals at the Brownsville Public Library System.

The library is partnering with Sea Turtle, Inc. to present a free, family-friendly program that takes attendees on an incredible journey with sea turtles, from nesting and hatching to their long ocean migrations.

The presentation will highlight the life cycle of sea turtles, the challenges they face in the wild, and the importance of protecting these endangered animals. It’s designed to be both engaging and educational for children and adults alike.

The program will be offered on Thursday, July 10, at two Brownsville Public Library locations:

Main Branch at 11:00 a.m., at 2600 Central Blvd.
Southmost Branch at 4:00 p.m., at 4320 Southmost Blvd.

Library officials encourage families to attend and discover how these remarkable creatures help shape the coastal environment while learning ways everyone can contribute to sea turtle conservation.

The event is free and open to the public.
