LOS FRESNOS, Texas – A Los Fresnos woman was arrested on allegations that she coordinated the delivery of narcotics to a person incarcerated in a Texas state jail, according to the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the sheriff’s office and the Texas Board of Criminal Justice Office of Inspector General investigated the case. The release did not identify the correctional facility involved.
Maria Guadalupe Nelson was arrested on warrants alleging delivery of a controlled substance and bringing prohibited substances into a correctional facility, authorities said. She was booked into the Carrizales-Rucker Detention Center.
The charges are allegations. A criminal complaint is not a finding of guilt.
