The City of Brownsville invites residents, business leaders, and community stakeholders to attend the 2026 State of the City Address, Prosperity with Purpose, presented by Mayor John Cowen Jr. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Texas Southmost College Performing Arts Center, 90 Taylor Ave.
Hosted by the Brownsville Chamber in partnership with the City of Brownsville, this annual event highlights the City’s achievements over the past year and outlines a forward-looking vision focused on sustainable growth, innovation, and shared prosperity for all residents.
Mayor Cowen will reflect on Brownsville’s continued progress and share strategic priorities that aim to strengthen economic development, enhance quality of life, and build long-term opportunities across the community.
Registration will take place from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, with the State of the City Address beginning promptly at 6:00 PM.
