The Brownsville Public Library System invites the public to a special celebration marking the 20th anniversary of the Southmost Branch Library. The event, titled “We’re Turning 20 — Let’s Party, Southmost!” will take place on Wednesday, September 24, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the library, located at 4320 Southmost Boulevard.
The community celebration will feature an evening packed with free, family-friendly entertainment. Attendees can enjoy carnival rides, live dancing, delicious local food, arts and crafts for all ages, and exciting giveaways. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
Since opening its doors in 2004, the Southmost Branch Library has played a vital role in promoting literacy, providing access to technology, and supporting educational programs for all age groups. The anniversary event highlights not only the library’s past achievements but also its continued commitment to serving Southmost residents and the greater Brownsville area.
The celebration is part of the Brownsville Public Library System’s ongoing effort to engage residents and highlight the importance of public libraries as inclusive and dynamic community spaces.
