RIO GRANDE VALLEY – Every UTRGV football game will be available on English-language radio in the Rio Grande Valley and Laredo during the 2026 season, while all home games will also have Spanish-language radio coverage.
Ultra 90.1 FM will carry the English broadcasts in the Valley, and Pure Country 95.7 FM will serve Laredo through UTRGV's continuing partnership with Radio United. Pregame coverage begins 30 minutes before kickoff, and online listening is available through the Radio Para Mi app.
Joe Bowling will return for play-by-play, with Jonathan Medina providing color commentary. Ultra's signal covers much of the three-county Valley and extends into northern Tamaulipas, while Pure Country serves Laredo, Nuevo Laredo and surrounding communities.
Spanish coverage of home games will air on KYWW 1530 AM Puro Tejano and KGBT-FM 98.5 La Preferida through a partnership with Latino Media Network. Those broadcasts begin at kickoff and are also available through the Uforia app.
Pedro Leija and Nicolas Quintero return as the Spanish broadcast team. UTRGV said the stations' signals reach the Valley and parts of northern Mexico.
All games will also be available on ESPN+. Mark May, Aaron Saenz and Jaeda Rael return as the home television crew for UTRGV-produced broadcasts.
The Southland Conference and ESPN agreed in 2025 to a six-year extension of their media-rights relationship. UTRGV's home games, conference games and two nonconference road contests are scheduled for the ESPN platform.
The Vaqueros open Aug. 29 at home against UT Permian Basin.
