Texas Southmost College will officially kick off its yearlong centennial celebration with a vibrant and exciting Conjunto Festival on Saturday, January 17, 2026, inviting the community to gather on TSC’s historic campus for a full day of music, culture, and shared celebration. The festival is free and open to the public to attend, and it will mark the first of many events honoring TSC’s 100-year legacy as a cornerstone of educational opportunities in the Rio Grande Valley.
The festival will highlight both emerging student talent and celebrated performers, reflecting the college’s longstanding commitment to education and community engagement. By centering the kickoff celebration around Conjunto music, a genre deeply rooted in South Texas’ history and cultural identity, Texas Southmost College pays tribute to the traditions and communities it has proudly served over the course of a century.

Guests who plan to attend the festival are welcome to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the performances comfortably. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, outside food, beverages, and tents will not be permitted, as there will be a variety of food and beverage options available for guests to enjoy on site.
