Early Voting Begins April 22 for Brownsville’s May 3 Municipal Election

Early voting for the City of Brownsville’s General Municipal Election begins Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Registered voters can cast their ballots ahead of Election Day on May 3.

Three City Commission seats are up for election: Commissioner At-Large “B,” District 3, and District 4. Each position carries a four-year term.

The following candidates are vying for a seat on the City Commission:

  • Commissioner At-Large “B”: Nurith Galonsky Pizaña, Roy De los Santos, Alejandro Garcia, and James Edward Moody
  • District 3: Yvonne Barraza, Gustavo De Leon, and Denise Granado Chavez
  • District 4: Daisy Zamora, Mike Rodriguez, Louie Tijerina, and Pedro Eduardo Cardenas

Brownsville voters can vote early at any of the following locations:

  • Cameron County Courthouse Judicial Complex – 954 E. Harrison St.
  • Brownsville Public Library Main Branch – 2600 Central Blvd.
  • Brownsville Public Library Southmost Branch – 4320 Southmost Blvd.
  • Texas Southmost College Youth Center – 600 International Blvd.
  • Brownsville Community Health Center New Horizon Medical Center – 191 E. Price Road
  • Good Shepherd Community Church – 300 W. Morrison Road

Early voting hours are as follows:

  • April 22–25: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • April 26: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • April 28–29: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
