BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Texas Southmost College hosted an information session for its new Medical Aesthetics Injector Certificate program, drawing licensed health care professionals and prospective students to the ITEC Center Art Gallery.
Lead instructor Cynthia Diaz and industry representatives stressed that graduates must work under a medical director, complete appropriate patient evaluations, carry specialized liability insurance and use legitimate, FDA-regulated products from authorized distributors.
The inaugural cohort begins Sept. 11. The first offering is a two-day, 16-hour course, with future cohorts expected to use a hybrid format.
