BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The City of Brownsville Department of Health, Wellness and Animal Services began mosquito spraying across 35 designated zones as part of its mosquito-control efforts.
The City’s tentative schedule called for crews to treat Zones 1 through 13 on Oct. 19, Zones 14 through 26 on Oct. 20 and Zones 27 through 35 on Oct. 21.
City officials said spraying depends on dry weather and winds between 3 and 10 mph. If conditions interrupt operations, crews will resume at the last untreated location during the next suitable spraying window.
Residents are encouraged to watch City updates as treatment moves through the zones.
