BROWNSVILLE, Texas — Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport recorded 1.55 inches of rain Oct. 5, according to the National Weather Service Brownsville/Rio Grande Valley.
The official daily climate report showed 3.85 inches of rain for the month through Oct. 5. Normal rainfall for the same period is 0.78 inches.
The report also recorded thunderstorms and fog during the day. Rainfall totals can vary by location, particularly during periods of scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Residents should continue to monitor local forecasts and heed roadway safety warnings when heavy rain or flooding is possible.
