The City of Brownsville Secretary’s Office is reminding residents that Monday, October 5, 2026, is the last day to register to vote ahead of the upcoming November 3, 2026, General and Special Elections.
Residents who want to participate in the November election are encouraged to check their voter registration status now and ensure their information is up to date.
“We do have election information on our website, so leading up to the November third election, get informed, stay informed because your voice does matter,” said Mayra Rios, Brownsville City Secretary.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. The City of Brownsville will provide two voting locations at the city’s public libraries:
Brownsville Public Library – Main Branch
2600 Central Blvd.
Brownsville Public Library – Southmost Branch
4320 Southmost Blvd.
Residents who are unsure whether they are registered to vote can visit the Cameron County Elections Department website to review voter information and election resources. The department also provides voter registration applications and information about upcoming elections.
The City of Brownsville encourages residents to plan ahead, confirm their registration status before the deadline, and become familiar with voting information before Election Day.
