Community Invited to Get the Latest on Brownsville’s Downtown Renaissance at Friday With the City

Want to know what’s next for downtown Brownsville? The Brownsville Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Brownsville, invites the community to attend the next Friday with the City on Friday, July 17, 2026, for an inside look at the Downtown Renaissance Master Plan.

The event begins at 8 a.m. at the City of Brownsville Communications and Marketing Department/Convention and Visitors Bureau Complex, located at 1312 E. Adams St. in downtown Brownsville.

Attendees will hear the latest updates on the Downtown Renaissance Master Plan, a long-term vision to revitalize the heart of Brownsville through strategic investments, enhanced public spaces, economic development, and initiatives that celebrate the city’s unique character and history.

The presentation will also provide an opportunity for community members to learn how ongoing and future projects are shaping the future of downtown.

Friday with the City is a partnership between the Brownsville Chamber of Commerce and the City of Brownsville that connects residents, business owners, and community leaders with important updates on city initiatives, development projects, and strategic priorities.
