HARLINGEN, Texas – Victor Park is scheduled for a $1.5 million aquatic-facility renovation that will update the public pool and add a splash pad and other amenities.
The project was registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation this week. Construction is scheduled to begin Aug. 17 and be completed by March 15, 2027, according to the filing.
Plans call for improvements to the existing swimming pool along with a new splash-pad area. The work is intended to modernize the long-used city facility and expand recreational options for children and families.
Victor Park is located in a residential area near central Harlingen and includes sports and recreation facilities. The pool project represents a public investment in an established neighborhood park rather than construction of a new complex.
Construction schedules can change because of weather, material availability, inspections or other project conditions. The city is expected to provide information about access and seasonal operations as work approaches.
The finished project will be subject to state accessibility and safety requirements for public aquatic facilities.
