SpaceX is preparing for another attempt at the 13th test flight of Starship from Starbase after last week’s launch attempt was stopped seconds before liftoff.
The company’s launch page says Starship is preparing to launch from its South Texas facility as early as Thursday, July 23. The 90-minute launch window is scheduled to open at 5:45 p.m. CT, though SpaceX notes that test-flight schedules can change.
The launch was originally targeted for July 16, but the countdown was halted during the engine-start sequence after some engines failed to ignite. SpaceX later said the upcoming flight will aim to complete objectives similar to the previous flight test, including work with the Starship and Super Heavy V3 vehicles and carrying next-generation Starlink V3 satellites for the first time.
A later public update pointed to Friday, July 24, as another possible launch attempt date after engine work on the Super Heavy booster.
For the Rio Grande Valley, the launch schedule remains closely tied to activity around Starbase, Boca Chica Beach and nearby viewing areas. Residents and visitors should continue checking official launch, road closure and beach access updates before making plans.
