The City of Brownsville’s Department of Engineering and Public Works Traffic Branch wishes to inform the public of a temporary street closure scheduled to take place from Tuesday, March 25, 2025, through Friday, March 28, 2025, as part of the ongoing BPUB Downtown Water/Wastewater Improvement Project.
East 12th Street, between E. Jefferson Street and E. Adams Street, will be closed to all traffic during this time to allow for essential upgrades to water and wastewater infrastructure in the area.
Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and follow all posted signage for detours. The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as these important improvements are made to support the downtown area’s long-term growth and utility reliability.
