Free Lunar Yoga Session Planned at Dean Porter Park

As the sun begins to set and the evening settles in, residents are invited to slow down, stretch and unwind with a peaceful night of yoga on the water.

The City of Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department will host Lunar Yoga, a free evening yoga session on Saturday, at 7:30 PM  Aug. 29, at the dock at Dean Porter Park, located at 501 E. Ringgold St.

The relaxing outdoor session offers participants an opportunity to step away from the daily hustle and enjoy gentle movement in a scenic park setting. Whether you're a longtime yoga enthusiast or simply looking for a calming way to spend your Saturday evening, the free event is open to those looking to relax and recharge.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat and water to stay comfortable and hydrated throughout the session.

With the park serving as the backdrop and the evening sky overhead, Lunar Yoga promises to be a refreshing way to connect with the outdoors while making time for wellness and relaxation.

The event is sponsored by the Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department.

So grab your yoga mat, bring some water and make plans to stretch beneath the evening sky at Dean Porter Park.
