BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Julio Cardenas, 73, of Rancho Viejo reunited this week with the medical professionals who treated him after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Brownsville in January.
Cardenas spent nearly two months hospitalized after the crash, according to a report on the reunion. The event brought together members of his care team, including emergency responders, physicians, nurses and rehabilitation staff.
Cardenas said the gathering gave him an opportunity to thank the people who helped him through his recovery. The report did not provide additional details on the crash investigation.
