EDINBURG, Texas – DHR Health’s Neuroscience Institute will host a free Sept. 19 seminar for stroke survivors, family members and caregivers on a treatment intended to improve hand and arm movement after stroke.
The session is scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance, 118 Paseo Del Prado. DHR Health neurosurgeon Dr. Juan Torres-Reveron and Neuro Therapy Institute Director Michael Auer are scheduled to lead the discussion.
The seminar will cover Vivistim therapy, which pairs vagus nerve stimulation with rehabilitation exercises. DHR Health said registration is available by calling or texting Juli Rodriguez at 281-740-1085.
