BROWNSVILLE, Texas — DHR Health Brownsville plans to hold its second annual Fall Fest and Health Fair from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 24 at the hospital, 4750 N. Expressway 77.
The free event is expected to include health screenings, blood-pressure checks, hernia and body-mass-index screenings, Stop the Bleed training and talks from DHR Health Brownsville physicians. Organizers also plan to offer free liver scans; participants seeking that screening are asked to fast for four hours beforehand.
Families will be able to attend community activities alongside the health services. Organizers said 100 turkey vouchers donated by H-E-B will be available to eligible participants while supplies last.
