BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Valley Regional Medical Center has opened ER 24/7 Brownsville, a freestanding emergency department at 449 E. Alton Gloor Blvd.
The facility operates around the clock, including holidays, and treats patients of all ages. On-site diagnostic services include CT imaging, ultrasound, X-ray and laboratory testing.
A grand-opening event was held Aug. 6. Brownsville Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Esmeralda Villarreal said the facility represents a new health care investment and expands emergency access in a growing part of the city.
Because ER 24/7 Brownsville is a department of Valley Regional Medical Center, patients who need hospital admission or additional specialty care can be transferred through the hospital system.
